So today i am 22, or as i like to say "21 again." It has been a rather good birthday so far. last night we went to Ts Pub to celebrate Megan and my birthdays and it was fantastic. the entire hockey team was there, cmills was wastey face, Megan danced with the awkward dear abbey(props my friend, props), we danced the night away, megan and i sang karaoke to the same song we did on our last birthday, and overall had a splendid time. Things are good right now. I've also met a nice guy recently, so we will see where that goes. I am liking things right now and im in an overall good mood today. Yay Birthdays!

Um, when did 2008 happen? now i know you must be saying "Kristin get with it, it has been 2008 for a month now," but for real, i am still in denial. So far this year is off to a pretty good start. Michele, Alicia and I came up to Boston for new years and partied with Christine and Kellie at Cask 'N' Flagon, which i found out yesterday was voted the #2 Baseball bar in America haha. Good times. Other Highlights of the beginning of this year so far include declaring civil war in our apartment (Christen is the Confederacy. haha), being told by some woman that i am prettier than britney spears since she is a "god-hating lesbian", walking face first into a glass door, and finding sour patch kids in our salt shaker. haha. i lead a very exciting life. The other main aspect of my life i avoiding thinking about graduation and putting off and job hunting plans. haha. good idea, i know. I have been very focused on having fun this semester, but my classes arent that hard so it hasnt been a problem yet. knock on wood. thats all.

Last night i could be found in the apartment doing one of 3 things: moping, working on my paper, and listening to the same song over and over again. Looks like I'm going into the holidays and the new year as a big ol' sad nego. great. I guess it will be good to get away from Boston for a little, although like i say every year being in my house isn't really a joy. Its probably my own fault for getting involved, but still. There is a thing where whenever the clock says 11:11 you are supposed to blow a kiss at it and make a wish, well i do that every single time i see a clock that says that time on it. I realized the saddest thing last night. None of the wishes that i ever made at 11:11 for the past four years will ever come true. I know because in that time i only ever made 3 different wishes. Good thing i wasted all of those wishes, i want them back.

Christmas is around the corner. I need to do all my shopping, with the limited amount of money i have to spend, its time to get creative. haha.Im excited for winter break it seems like it will be jam packed, but in a good way. New Years plans are in the works. the Shelton crew may venture up to Boston to celebrate the New Years which would be amazing. I have 2 papers standing between me and break. Before 1pm today the number was 4, so i already passed the halfway mark. i got this.

in other news, i still don't understand boys. Once again I'm getting the mixed signals business. What's the story, huh?

I am going to see Jimmy Eat World on Wednesday with Mo. I am so excited. Her and I went to see them freshman year in Providence and now we get to go together again senior year. full circle. haha. I downloaded their new cd off of itunes this past week, and i love it of course. They just know exactly how to make me happy.

in other news. there was a random cat in my apartment the other night b/c alex left the door open. Also someone let a homeless man in to our building. at least a cat wandered into our apartment and not the homeless man. i might have died if i woke up today and there was a homeless guy chillin on my couch.

christine came over and we baked cookies and gossiped. the things we do best.

i am freaking out about life. i dont know what to do with myself after i graduate college. i just want to find a job, ANY job that lets me stay in Boston. I dont want to go home to CT, and i refuse to move back home with me dad. i would be miserable. I also still dont drive so living anywhere that is not a city will be kinda tricky for me. My plan to find a husband at college and then just become a stay at home wife is not working out. i was born in the wrong decade. haha. not to mention that i dont meet any nice, straight, single, boys. there are plenty of boys in the world that wanna make out, and whatever thats cool, but there are no nice boys to date. I also tend to attract a bunch of goofy weirdos lately. thats not working for me.

oh and btw, i still hate lies and liars. things never work out the way i want them to.

Tonight is my last marching band practice ever. I have been in Marching band for 9 years, how unreal is that. haha i still remember my first day of marching band when i was a little (haha i was never little) 8th grader. This saturday will be my last band show. That is soo weird. Mixed feelings on this topic because while i hate practices and CP and all that it is sad that a chapter of my life is ending. Ill get over it though, haha.

today was way too funny. In my abnormal psych class we were talking about stress today. and then my professor started giving us stress management tips. the last tip was "Hug someone that is important in your life." that is very nice, right? haha well right after that my TF raised her hand. Do any of you remember that show Dinosaurs? the one with the big puppet like dinosaur people and the baby that would hit the dad on the head with a frying pan and say "im da baby, gotta love me" haha. well our TF reminds me of one of those dinosaurs because she is rather large, in her 30s i assume, and she wears like moo-moo style skirts and shirts. maureen and i laugh about her alot. her name is Val. So anyways she raised her hand and goes "if you dont have anyone to hug you should get a cat or a dog" hahahaha thanks for the advice. then after class Maureen and i were on our way to Campco to get a coffee and we ran into Xtina so we were standing on the street and some girl came up and forced us to take her fliers and told us she doesnt care what we do with them we could wipe our ass with them but just take them. haha.

i think i overpacked for band camp. i over pack for everything. i am not looking forward to being in the woods for a week. i become less of an outdoors girl every year. (unless it is the beach)haha.

im not ready to deal with everything that school, band, the sorority, and life will bring at me this year. and saying bye to my shelton crew was sad.

summer is ending way to quickly. i am not ready to be a senior in college. i dont know what i want to do with my life, and the things that i know i want arent happening. i spent most of the summer wanting to go back to boston. and dont get me wrong i soooooo wanna go back. but i know once i go back time is gonna fly by and before i know it college will be over. im not ready. Im also going to miss my shelton friends a lot. i am so busy up at school and i never can make time to go visit. both laura and michele turn 21 in september and i wanna make it down to each of their schools for their bdays. but who knows if that can actually happen with band and the sorority. i also am not looking forward to band camp since i hate it. haha. i cant wait to set up the new apartment and live with alex and christen. thats gonna be amazing. our apartment is totally gonna be like Three's Company.

another thing. i dont understand boys. stop it with the mixed signals. thank god we are having a girly movie night tonight. i really need one of those. i also need to stop listening to this sad song.

After having glasses since the summer before 1st grade, i finally made the move to contacts. I went to the eye doctor yesterday and got my first pair. I really like them and i so should have done this sooner. The minute that i got them and left the eye doctor i put on the pair of sunglasses that i bought freshman year with Mo. im soo excited bc now i can indulge my sunglasses obsession. haha.

not too much else has been happening. i spend my day being lazy and spend my nights hanging out with my friends. Lately there has been a lot of drinking and parties and such. Last night jess had a party which wasnt too big of a fiesta but it was fun. and then tonight there are 2 possible parties we can attend and tomorrow i was invited to another. i dunno if my liver can handle it. haha. i guess this is why christine added "partying in shelton" to her interests on facebook. we know whats up, haha.

elissa showed up at jess's for a little while which was awesome bc i miss her. we relived some of the more hilarious memories from high school. i think my favorite quote of the evening was between jess and kyle:

as far as LJ goes i have been sort of MIA. this is basically the result of not have much interesting info to share. lets sum up the summer so far, shall we:

i don't have a job yet. i dunno if it is gonna happen now. i have definitely been trying and have applied tons of places, just nothing is panning out yet. although my dad hasn't been on my back too much about it yet so at least that is a plus. i just really wanna make money this summer so i am not broke during the school year. that would not be good.

when i said coming home would be a break from parties i was wrong. the first week that i was home Julie, Jamie, and i went to one of the bars in my town basically every night. since the people in my grade are now all basically turning 21 it was like a freaking high school reunion all the time. which was so weird, since being in boson limits the amount of Shelton people i see when i go out very significantly. i also ended up at some random party one night with jess, Michele, Alicia, and Julie where they were shooting scenes for some random indie type movie called Spark It Up, something like that. it was weird. haha

other than that i have been watching my little bro a lot for my dad and chillin with my girls. its just 6 of us this summer since laura didn't come home, but she is visiting soon so that will be very cool.

this weekend xtina came here and picked me up and i went with her family to the Poconos for a night. we stayed at this really cool hotel/resort place that had a huge outdoor pool, an indoor water park, 2 bars, an arcade, gift shops, and very importantly its own Starbucks (i appreciated that even though i didn't actually go there this time haha) it was very fun.

what am i looking forward to that is coming up this summer, hmmm. well there is a huge party that is in the works for a joint 21st b day bash. so i cannot wait for that. and then the next weekend i am headed up to Boston to celebrate another 21st b day. i guess thats what this summer will be. lots of relaxing and lots of parting. sounds great right? no, because I'll be poor. haha. also i don't really like hanging out in this house. i have to deal i guess.

Spring break kinda sucked, except when i got to hang a little with michele, julie and laura and when i went to philly and had some historic fun with alex. then i went to Districts which was ok until our car broke down twice and we were stranded in the middle of nowhere pennsylvania. we were supposed to get home on sunday evening, and we didnt get home until 5am on tuesday. literally. that was awful.

I havent posted anything at all about this semester yet. or for that matter anything about this entire year.

well it started out with a bang. i went up to Toronoto with Alex, Christine, and Katie. That was so much fun, but at the same time i will never live that one down. If you dont know why i am embarrassed about it then dont worry, haha.

this semester has been soo much less stressful than last semester. Last semester was characterized by sleepless nights, writing papers till i wanted to cry, and more stress than i knew what to do with. This semester there have not been any all nighter yet (at least not related to school work, even though i have seen 7am a few times without going to bed). My apartment is where it is at, and Christine and i have an entire hallway of pictures to prove it. that is going to be the saddest thing about the end of the year, talking all those pictures down.

Next year me alex, christen, megan, christina, and laura are moving to apartments off campus (which just happens to be around the corner from where i am right now). Alex is gonna be my roommate in a double and christen has a single in our apartment. we are not going to get any work done. I cant wait.

Summer is coming too quickly and i dont know what i wanna do. part of me wants to stay in boston, part of me wants to be at home with my girls, and another part just wants to go away somewhere, anywhere. what to do, what to do? i will end up staying home in shelton wasting my days in a shitty job but spending my nights with the shelton crew im sure.

My 21st bday is in 2 weeks. I am so excited. it is going to be a week long party. here is the lay out: weekend 1 im sure we will hit up some sorta bar. monday of my actual bday mi padre is coming and taking me out to dinner with some of my friends, the next day is Ts Pub, then some recovery, then Shelton Does Boston Part II. Almost all the girls are coming up to boston to party with me. it is gonna be the best. all my favorites will be there; the shelton crew and my BU loves. what could be better

Its the last day of 2006. that is insane. time is flying way too fast. 2006 was definitely a good year. As i have said many times, my friends (both home and school) are amazing and i love them. There have been some new elements added to my life this year, ones that are somewhat difficult to explain.. haha.

This year was kicked off by an excellent party at Michele's house, followed in the morning by breakfast at the diner (what better way to kick off 06). there was a amazing road trip to VA, Shelton does Boston weekend/ My 20th birthday, Alex's Third Trimester day, many rounds of Kings and fun nights spent in WoTo, 18c, Summer in Shelton, Memorial Day at Michele's, Trip to NYC to visit with some of my Boston buds, working at Home Depot.. haha, Movies nights, Dunkin Donuts nights, the diner, bonfires, dinner parties, shopping, the fireworks, and days at the beach with my girls!, Party Week @ michele's, Port Jefferson on the hottest day of the summer, Going to Cinncinnati for a wedding, Back up to Boston for a giggle filled band camp, Moving in to South Campus and living it up with the SoPo, an intense marching band season haha, Fall Tour, Power hour, 515 with an awesome roommate(s), Apple picking, Pimps and Hos, Christine's Birthday extravaganza, being VPM and going crazy, Going ITALY for my cousin's wedding!, visit to UCONN, christmas party in november, SoPo thankgiving, a scandalous but fun thanksgiving break... UNTIL BEDTIME, Xtinas going away party, Winter break, an good Christmas, and continuing to have fun with my shelton girls.

it has been quite the year. 2007 is getting off to a good start too, party at Danny's tonight! and then on the 2nd i am leaving for our Canadian Road trip!
